Back Pain
The complaint of low back pain is among the most common presenting symptoms in orthopedic patients.

Lumbar Muscle Strain
A low back strain, often called a lumbar strain, is an injury to the large muscles in the low back. These injuries are very common, affecting most everyone at some point in their life. Low back strains can be painful and debilitating.

Discogenic Back Pain
Lumbar disc pain is a common cause of low back pain. Discogenic back pain can be difficult to diagnose and treatment can be difficult as well. Diagnosis of discogenic back pain may require the use of a discogram.

Sciatica
Sciatica is caused by irritation around the sciatic nerve. This causes pain around the hip and thigh region. Treatments for sciatica aim to reduce the irritation of the nerve.

Herniated Disc
A ruptured disc is a common problem that leads to back pain and spinal nerve root irritation.

Ruptured Disk
Normally, disks act as shock absorbers to cushion your vertebrae from each other as you move. A herniated disk is a disk that has bulged out from its proper place. When this disk is ruptured it causes severe back pain and possibly radiating pain.

Lumbar Spinal Stenosis
Facet joints tend to get larger as they degenerate. Unfortunately, as the joint enlarges, it can place pressure on the nerves as they exit the spine.

Spondylolisthesis
Spondylolisthesis is a condition that is seen when one spinal segment 'slips' away from another. Spondylolisthesis is most commonly seen with degenerative (aging) changes of the spine, but there may be other causes.

Lumbar Sprain/ Strain
Pain of the low back can also be caused by sprain or strain of the muscles of the back. This can be caused due to sports injury, lifting of heavy objects and so on.
